Sleep mask optional.
The Outfit: An on-trend red pajama set by CJW in a print featuring illustrations of such stay-at-home indulgences as Milano cookies, gummy bears, sleep masks and TV screens playing Netflix. The cozy look was styled with De Beers’ Arpeggia Three Line Diamond Earrings and Five Line Diamond Ring, as well as black furry heeled sandals and a matching fur clutch in pink and navy blue.
The Wearer: Fashion illustrator, author, influencer and founder of Atelier Dore, Garance Dore.
The Event: The 21st annual Accessories Awards at Cipriani in New York City on Monday night, where Dore presented shoe and accessory designer Jessie Randall of Loeffler Randall with the Brand of the Year Award.
Why It Matters: Much has been said about the effortless look of the “French girl,” but Dore — a French transplant now living in Los Angeles — just took the concept to a whole new level. Pairing a $295 sleep set with 9.3 carat diamond earrings is truly high-low dressing in all senses of the phrase, and the look is perfectly in line with the sleepwear-as-outerwear trend in fashion, which has turned up on the runways at Prada, Gucci and elsewhere.
On a night dedicated to celebrating accessories, Dore’s stole the show. The furry accents on her shoes and clutch added a playful counterpoint to the look, balancing out those high-end jewels and tongue-in-cheek “Netflix and Chill” pajamas.
Where to Buy: The CJW Netflix and Chill sleep set is available online at ShopCJW.com.
